Whether your stretch film is cast or blown, both begin with a resin pellet. It’s the extrusion process that differentiates cast and blown stretch film. Our focus will be on cast film since it makes up approximately 75% of the market.
In the cast film extrusion process, the resin is extruded through a linear die and then goes onto large diameter chilling rollers. This process is known as a horizontal process (see diagram below.)
